Program, set-up, operate, and maintain a CNC machine through the information and direction of the Production Supervisor
Proficiency in Mastercam programming required. 1+ years experience desired.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Write CNC programs using the codes required by the manufacturing instructions
Perform initial set-up of new programs to include special jaws and/or fixturing
Select and cut material according to process sheet and/or prints
Transfer programs between computer and CNC machine
Sets up CNC machine according to manufacturing instructions
Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls as required
Completes in-process part inspection as required by the print and accompanying documentation
Deburr machine parts with files and/or scrapers as required
Operate drill press and/or hand tools to complete secondary operations
Verifies conformance of finished parts as required by print and accompanying documentation, utilizing measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers and gages
Perform general maintenance and cleaning of CNC's tooling, and fixtures
Completes appropriate paperwork to keep manufacturing instructions up to date
