Bowl Builder 

Fabricates and assembles parts orienting feeder bowls according to blueprints, manuals, design memos, sketches, and past knowledge of feeder bowl construction.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Analyzes data to determine the proper construction requirements for the system.
  • Checks customer part dimensions; relation of one part to another if there are multiple parts being handled.
  • Prepares system layout.
  • Constructs the feeder bowl; using various hand tools, saws, welders, and grinders.
  • Bench inspects bowl to ensure unit is built to high quality requirements, including simplicity of design, cleanup, smoothness of lines, and meets all customer and company requirements.
  • Inspects assemblies according to specifications on engineering drawings and accompanying documentation.

 

Electrical & Controls Designer 

The Electrical and Controls Designer designs, programs and debugs electrical and control systems for custom automation equipment.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provides support to sales staff during quoting process to determine cost and feasibility of electrical and control systems.
  • Confers with other design, production and sales staff to resolve issues with design concepts.
  • Researches supplier products for components to use in designs.
  • Develops electrical designs, schematics and controller layouts.
  • Interprets mechanical design drawings for electrical requirements.
  • Designs, documents and debugs programs for programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Assists production staff with inquiries and problems encountered during manufacturing.
  • Updates drawings and documentation as needed to reflect changes made during manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Proficient in AutoCAD 2D design software.
  • Familiar with SolidWorks 3D design software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Familiar with UL and CE electrical industry standards.
  • Familiar with different types of PLCs (e.g. Allen Bradley, Micro820, Unitronics, Samba, Click).
  • Familiar with PLC communication protocols (e.g. Ethernet/IP, ProfitNet).
  • Familiar with electrical industrial automation components (e.g. photoelectric sensors, proximity sensors, I/O distribution blocks, DC motor controllers, AC variable frequency motors).
  • Familiar with mechanical industrial automation components (e.g. linear slides, rotary actuators).
  • Familiar with vision systems (e.g. Cognex, Keyence).
  • Able to research and quickly learn to use new components and PLCs.

Supervisory Responsibilities 

  • Direct the workflow of employees in Controls Department to meet production and delivery requirements
  • Ensure Controls Department employees fully comprehend responsibilities and delegated tasks

Full time schedule, Monday through Friday

Salary $75,000-85,000 annually based on experience

3-5 years of experience required.
